UN1TY Tattoo is located in the Coleham area of Shrewsbury and lies on the riverbank of the River Severn. It is a medieval market town, the birthplace of Charles Darwin and boasting 660 listed buildings. The winding cobbled streets take you on a journey back in time.

The nearest car park is St Julian’s Friars. A cheaper car park with more space which is not too far is Abbey Foregate car park. NCP Wyle Cop is also not too far away.

There are many places to stay close to UN1TY.  Our clients have enjoyed staying at Darwin’s Townhouse.  It has high-quality accommodation and we have heard only good things about it. Abbots Mead is also a great option in terms of location.

In the town centre itself, there are lovely places such as The Lion & Pheasant as well as The Prince Rupert Hotel. You will also find budget-friendly options, including Cromwells or The Old Post Office, which also serve food.

Shrewsbury has chain hotels like Premier Inn, but these are slightly further out. Travelodge Shrewsbury Bayston Hill is a great budget-friendly option for clients looking to explore wider Shrewsbury. It’s well-located for transport links and local attractions for clients who are driving or want to use a taxi. Room rates start from £24.99, but early booking is recommended to secure the best rates.

If you decide to use Airbnb, you will find useful local businesses such as The Allotment for groceries, Walsh’s butchers, Coleham deli and Coleham Tap all within walking distance of where our studio is located.

Shrewsbury has many different varieties of cuisine on offer. Umai is a small Japanese restaurant and booking is required, Avatar Dining offers Indian and Nepalese cuisine that is more refined and displayed with style. For traditional English pub fit for the Royals, it has food with class and stunning views of the river, look no further than The Amoury.

The Beefy Boys and Dough & Oil are also great options.

If your trip extends beyond being tattooed, a lovely breakfast awaits you at the Birds Nest Cafe. It sits within the multi award-winning Shrewsbury Market Hall. A unique food, drink and shopping destination that offers a vibrant and eclectic fusion of the hand crafted and the hard to find. There are over 60 traders, proudly independent and gloriously innovative.

You could also take time to explore Wyle Cop, a beautiful example of Shrewsbury’s architectural history with 39 listed buildings. It is reputed to be the longest row of uninterrupted independent businesses in the UK. It holds an eclectic mix of retailers, where you’ll find everything from clothing and jewellery to vintage finds and flowers.

For a relaxed, uber-cool community coffee look no further than Condor but if you find yourself passing by the train station, you could call in at The Shrewsbury Coffeehouse for an excellent coffee and cake.

If you’re after some historical sightseeing Shrewsbury has plenty on offer, Monuments and Statues , Museums , Churches, Severn Bridges .
