This blog has been a long time coming! Our journey together started in March 2018 and was finally completed in February 2020. Amanda’s wonderful project was to cover a scar on her lower abdomen and incorporate a rework of an old tattoo on her back, creating one unique piece of art for Amanda to carry with her always.

“I’m looking to cover a scar but don’t want the usual “flower chain” along there that makes it really obvious it’s covering a scar. I don’t mind it trailing down a leg or up over a hip.“ Amanda. And that’s how it began!

We worked together to come up with a freehand tattoo that would flow seamlessly from one body-part to another as one fluid design and at the same time breathing new life into the old tattoo.

Session by session we sculpted Amanda’s tattoo into something she would be excited to share with the world.

This amazing scar cover-up project was documented in the INSIDER film and now we can finish this chapter allowing you to finally see the completed tattoo.

Over the span of Amanda’s tattoo, I cherished the friendship that blossomed, I learned about her family, her business and aspirations for the future and I miss my days with Amanda already….. until the next tattoo!
