When UN1TY took it’s first breath, in it was a part of mine and Jo’s spirit. We had thought long and hard about what we wanted to achieve on this new adventure, where it may take us and ultimately who may join us if even for a fleeting moment. Therefore it was important that the name we chose be descriptive whilst at the same time intrigue people to explore further, it needed to be more than just a bunch of symbols thrown together to make a sound, it should evoke some sort of feeling and be able to tell a story.

UN1TY is about me and Jo working together to create the best tattoo experience possible and in order to achieve this UN1TY needs to be based on understanding the relationship between craftsman and client, one that is built on respect and trust. A tattoo should be designed for an individual, listening to the ideas they have and then interpreted in our own way, it should stir some sort of emotion whilst revealing a whisper of the wearer.

So UN1TY in it’s very essence is about bringing people together, recognising that we’re all one and giving strength and inspiration to each other allowing us to set sail from a port of safety and explore this life.
